and i just walk for hours down the red brick march of market street

there are some bands that are closely associated with certain cities in my head, but i really cannot think of any other city that makes me want to listen to a certain band as much as san francisco does with two gallants.

ive been here a few days, work mostly, but every time i am out walking the town i come across street names i know from songs i have loved since i was a teenager.

market street, 16th street - it is strange to walk these pavements. i wonder how well known they are in sf? i might ask someone tonight... have enjoyed visits to kerouac's favourite spot in the city, and also down to mission district which is always good to me when i am in town. and with a bellyful of anchor steam i take that long walk home up market street, and always, absolutely always there is one line that comes to mind:
